Too much is too much. Our giant rosemary has grown over the stairs and as much as I enjoy it’s majestic size I had to cut it back. Now we are actually able to walk down to the lower garden. My back is broken but it’s been lovely to work in the sun! *
Good morning! The sun is out and the garden screams for attention so there is no time to plan a complicated meal. This simple baked fish from Festa Italiana (page 185) is just perfect. A white fish fillet sandwiched between a layer of lemon slices and a garlicky breadcrumb crust. Complement with a crunchy salad of fennel and orange and a dry white. Perfect Friday dinner!

Today I was really in the mood for savory crespelle: paper thin pancakes (crepes) which I filled with sauté Swiss chard blended with creamy ricotta, a sprinkle of ham, mozzarella and then topped wit tomato sauce and lots of Parmigiano.
